Connect And Join ™, Inc.  is a technology based research communications and education product development company focused on alleviating the stress and anxiety brought about from family separation, whether from business travel or military deployment.

Research has consistently shown that  project based learning (learn by actually making or doing the specific task) helps the individual retain more of the learning experience for future use,  builds self esteem for a successful job well-done, and provides the person with a “take-away” or proof of accomplishment.

Connect And Join ™, Inc. is focused on the development of products that combine the use of hands-on (high-touch) and then a technology based (high-tech) activity.  This combination brings together projects and lesson plans focused on communication tools that are crafted; both by hand and computer, and that communicate the daily life at home to the traveler or deployed serviceperson.

This communication of life at home, in print and online by word and photo also allows each family to save and archive their history in a most personal way.  While a live conversation and the sound of one’s loved ones voice is also appreciated, unless recorded, these seems to blend away into the mind, while the written word and pictures remain more permanent.

The Connect And Join ™ team hopes that the products developed by the company for use by families who are separated will help ease the stress that they find themselves under, improve the distance communications, and upon the return, become a part of their family’s historical accounting of those missed moments for the loved one/s returning.  Re-entry into daily life creates as much stress and apprehension as being away, thus the journals and scrapbooks found throughout the Connect And Join ™ products are designed to improve this step back to home.
