The internet is a great way to communicate and keep in touch and even read and stay current with the news!  I have a PDA and the buzz gets my attention frequently. However, I just love the touch and feel of a printed magazine, and thus, Connect And Join ™ our printed collection.  A printed magazine can be tucked away in your tote bag for later reading and read when relaxing after a long day. There is something to a stack of magazines sitting near that encourages further exploration.

The Connect And Join ™ magazine contains many of the same elements and expanded content from the online site.

Under the skillful guidance of Patricia Hill, Editor at Large, you will find projects and activities for the family and children of all ages.  Patricia, with her background in education, brings to print a combination of fun and education and the computer.  (I make sure that the arts and crafts are covered along with the able assistance of Brian McDowell)

Dr. Medway, our psychological advisor, is a contributor and brings to our readers a common sense approach to handling the stresses and anxieties so common to family separation.  Dr. Medway also spends time with us as a group, and he has been invaluable as we plan the portal functions and the projects.

Mindy Reed Hamilton starts out her writing career with us – with her “Ask Mindy” column.  We met Mindy through the Montel Williams Show, and she joined our team quickly soon thereafter. One weekend during a visit, I listened to Mindy as she shared her frustration over a car repair problem.  From this experience, it became clear that she needed to find her voice (write) and share with all of us – firsthand, what the spouse faces during deployment and what she is learning!

And we wrap it up – with a great lay out and graphic design found in an easy to read format from George Bowers!
