Crafting is considered project-based learning. Simply said: a person learns by actually making something. And, the accomplishment helps build self-esteem and the learning process seems to stick with the individual longer. In general, crafting is just a feel-good process.
Arts & crafts and computer-based projects for teens of all are found on Connect And Join ™ in the "hip-to-do" section.. From the pages of PC Create It, and PC Teach It, many of these projects are aligned with education standards and require simple basic materials. All projects are found in a searchable data base and based on theme/age and group activity.
Plus, a "Book a Week" and hip-to-do™ projects and ways to communicate with their deployed loved one. There are 52 book titles to choose from to read while the parent is away. With each book, is also a short overview of the content! All titles are found in searchable databases and by age/grade level. Parents will love the access to the overviews, as these allow the parent to stay in touch with their teen as they read along
